Corvalol for panic attacks, use, contraindications

Valerian (Valerian) is a herbal preparation that is very popular among our population. The medicine has been sold in pharmacies since Soviet times. Healers made various healing potions from this plant hundreds and even thousands of years ago. People with neuroses and people with VSDs really like to keep valerian tincture or its extract in tablets. The drug is inexpensive, accessible, and has minimal side effects. But does Valerian help with VSD, neurosis and panic attacks? After all, many consider it too weak and frivolous a medicine.

I have developed my own relationship with the tincture of this wonderful herb, which I want to talk about. Valerian has always been and is in my house, and is used not only for VSD. But let's not forget that any medicine, even herbal tinctures, must be prescribed by a doctor. Articles like this cannot serve as a basis for self-medication, and someone else’s experience does not mean at all that yours will be the same. Therefore, remain objective and reasonable.

Valerian - description of the drug

Valerian is available in the form of an alcoholic infusion (in dark vials) and in the form of tablets. I always use an infusion, it seems to me more effective, so I will describe this form to a greater extent.

Valerian belongs to pharmaceutical preparations of plant origin and has a sedative (calming), antispasmodic and vasodilating effect. The calming and relaxing effect is achieved due to the presence of alkaloids in the plant - hotenin and valerine. It is in this combination that the substances have a slight depressant effect on the human nervous system.

Valerian also has a mild antispasmodic and mild choleretic effect.

The therapeutic effect of the drug develops slowly, depends on the dosage and is stable.

Valerian infusion is contraindicated for people suffering from alcoholism and those who are prohibited from drinking alcohol-containing liquids.

Mechanism of action

Sedatives are a mandatory component of the therapeutic program for VSD. They affect the activity of metabolic reactions in the nervous system.

The drugs stimulate and inhibit the transmission of nerve impulses from central structures to the periphery, and inhibit pathological signals in the brain. The mechanism of action directly depends on the structure and activity of the active substance molecule. When using herbal preparations we are talking about a combination of effects:

  • bioflavonoids;
  • alkaloids;
  • provitamins;
  • a complex of various compounds.

Most often, sedatives affect:

  • neurotransmitter transmission;
  • vasodilation;
  • improvement of rheological properties (fluidity) of blood;
  • blocking the corresponding receptors.

How Valerian works

Due to its inhibitory effect on the nervous system, Valerian helps to calm down, calm anxiety, and reduce anxiety. But it is precisely these conditions that often haunt people suffering from VSD and neurosis. It perfectly relaxes and helps you fall asleep quickly.

The main effects of Valerian on the body:

  • Reduces the level of excitability of the nervous system.
  • Regulates vegetative processes.
  • Has a weak antidepressant effect.
  • Reduces heart rate.
  • Dilates blood vessels.
  • Relaxes smooth muscles.
  • Stimulates bile production.

The medicine has a cumulative effect, and with prolonged use all its effects are enhanced.

How does Validol affect blood pressure?

Many patients are interested in how Validol affects blood pressure - it reduces, increases or has no effect. The fact is that this drug is not a specific drug for normalizing blood pressure and is not included in any treatment regimen for hypotension or hypertension. To understand whether it can have an effect on blood pressure, you need to know how it works in the body.

Application of Validol

Validol has a mild vasodilator and antispasmodic effect - it dilates coronary and small vessels. Thanks to this, the drug reduces blood pressure on the walls of blood vessels and promotes better blood outflow. As a result, blood pressure decreases, heart rate normalizes, the load on the heart decreases, and the patient begins to feel better.

Experts note that the drug can reduce blood pressure only if it increases due to the following factors:

  1. Emotional stress.
  2. Insomnia.
  3. Fatigue.
  4. Increased nervousness.
  5. Excited excitement.
  6. Prolonged stress.

Validol not only has a vasodilating effect, but also calms the nervous system, so the pressure decreases much faster if the patient stops being nervous and is in a calm state.

Why is the drug not included in the treatment regimen for hypertension:

  1. Does not accumulate in the body.
  2. Has a weak effect.
  3. Doesn't help with persistent hypertension.

Validol can be used together with Nitroglycerin during a hypertensive crisis before the arrival of doctors, as an emergency aid. But such a reception is possible only if the patient has already taken these medications and knows how they affect his body.

Validol cannot be prescribed if the patient is prone to hypotension, since taking it can provoke a severe decrease in blood pressure and autonomic disorders. If the pressure drop is too significant, a hypotensive crisis may occur.

As a result of insufficient blood circulation, too little oxygen reaches the brain - hypoxia develops. That is why, before prescribing Validol to a patient, the doctor must find out whether the patient is prone to hypotension or not.

Indications for use

Valerian is popularly known as a sedative. However, it also has a number of other indications:

  • Migraine headaches. A migraine is different from a regular headache. It occurs against the background of complex reactions in the body and often torments those who suffer from vegetative-vascular dystonia. By itself, Valerian is unlikely to be able to relieve a migraine attack, but as part of complex therapy it works very well.
  • Nervous excitement of various types.
  • Hysterical states.
  • Vegetative-vascular dystonia.
  • Neuroses.
  • Cardiovascular disorders of a mild nature.
  • Intestinal spasms.

Based on the list of indications, it is clear that Valerian helps with vegetative-vascular dystonia. But how effective is it for such disorders and is there any significant benefit from it?

Drug therapy

Preventative treatment for panic attacks can be carried out in a hospital during an inpatient examination. In this case, the patient is prescribed various drugs.

  1. Psychotropic – antidepressants, tranquilizers, sedatives.
  2. Cardiovascular pills or injections.

The advantage of treatment is that the patient is under observation and the effect of blocking growing panic is quickly achieved. A side effect of drug treatment in 50% of patients was identified:

  • addiction to drugs and a decrease in their effectiveness;
  • frequent headaches;
  • dose dependence;
  • hormonal disorders, etc.

Getting rid of panic attacks at home

Therefore, most doctors recommend treatment at home using folk remedies in a calm and familiar environment.

Attention! Drug treatment is carried out only under the supervision of doctors!

Contraindications

Many people believe that Valerian is absolutely harmless. But this is not so; like all medicines, it has its contraindications:

  • Children's age up to 1 year.
  • Pregnancy (1st trimester).
  • Fructose intolerance.
  • Hypersensitivity to the components included in the composition.

Side effects

In rare cases, the medicine may cause an allergic reaction. In case of an overdose, the following conditions are observed: lethargy, feeling of weakness, depression, bradycardia (slow heartbeat), lethargy, drowsiness, decreased performance.

If you observe symptoms of an overdose, you must take the following measures:

  • Flush the stomach (induce vomiting).
  • Drink a lot of water so that the substance leaves the body faster.
  • Call an ambulance (in severe cases).

Possible harm

Despite the fact that Validol contains only useful components, it can cause unwanted reactions and even symptoms of overdose if used incorrectly.

Negative consequences

Side effects from taking the medication are temporary and disappear quickly after its discontinuation, since it does not accumulate in the body.

Side effects:

  • Weakness
    Feeling nauseous.

  • Dizziness.
  • Weakness.
  • Drowsiness.
  • Increased tear production.
  • Reduced pressure.
  • Allergic manifestations.

To avoid negative reactions, the drug can be taken only as prescribed by a doctor for the indications specified in the instructions. Be sure to follow the recommended dosage to avoid symptoms of overdose.

Overdose

Many patients think that Validol is completely harmless and take one tablet after another, not even for treatment, but simply because of the pleasant minty taste. They have no idea that such a technique can lead to negative consequences:

  • vomiting;
  • depression of the nervous system;
  • orthostatic collapse;
  • Quinte's edema;
  • anaphylactic shock;
  • hypotensive crisis.

People who have weak immunity, disorders of the central nervous system, and serious diseases of the cardiovascular system are most prone to overdose.

Alcohol compatibility

Validol and drinks containing alcohol are completely incompatible. In the best case, the drug will not have a positive effect on the body, and in the worst case, it will aggravate the patient’s condition.

What can happen if you take alcohol and the drug:

  • The pressure will drop critically.
  • Reactions will slow down.
  • Blood circulation is impaired.
  • Vessels and capillaries are affected.
  • Severe nausea will develop.
  • Overdose symptoms will appear.

You can take the drug only after alcohol has been completely eliminated from the body, so taking Validol during a hangover is also strictly prohibited - the symptoms of intoxication will worsen, heart function will be disrupted, and, in the worst case scenario, this combination can cause the death of the patient.

Analogs

In addition to Validol, there are other drugs with a similar effect that are prescribed for heart disease.

Popular analogues:

  • Corvalment is a structural analogue of Validol, available in the form of capsules containing 100 mg of active substance.
  • Cormenthol is also considered a complete analogue of the drug.
  • Corvalol is available in the form of a solution containing peppermint oil, ethyl bromoisovaleric acid ester and phenobarbital. It has a more pronounced sedative effect, but has indications for use similar to Validol.
  • Corvalol
    Valoserdin - contains drops: phenobarbital, mint oil, oregano and ethyl bromoisovaleric acid ester. It is used for neuroses, insomnia and functional disorders of the cardiovascular system.

  • Nitroglycerin – sublingual tablets, capsules, spray based on the active ingredient nitroglycerin. Used to relieve attacks of angina and therapy after acute myocardial infarction. Can be prescribed simultaneously with Validol.

Validol and its analogues are recommended to be used only as prescribed by the attending physician and be sure to control the amount of daily dosage, otherwise uncontrolled treatment can lead to negative consequences.

How to take Valerian for VSD

Only a doctor can prescribe an exact treatment regimen with herbal preparations. The dosages below are taken from the instructions and general recommendations.

The tincture should be drunk 3-4 times a day in a dosage of 20-30 drops.

The liquid is diluted in a small amount of water and drunk in one gulp. It is advisable to drink Valerian 30-40 minutes after meals. Due to the fact that the tincture contains alcohol, it is not recommended to use it on an empty stomach.

The greatest calming effect is obtained from a mixture of Valerian tincture and Motherwort tincture in equal proportions.

Instructions for use

Validol cannot be taken uncontrollably, as many patients think. Each form of the drug has its own instructions for use, which indicate the frequency of administration and dosage.

Tablet form

The tablets should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. The duration of therapy is determined by the severity of the disease, so there is no specific duration of treatment.

It is worth understanding that long-term use of the drug is not always necessary - the tablets can be taken once, for example, only during an attack of angina, hysteria, panic attack or after motion sickness.

The tablets are placed under the tongue and kept there until completely dissolved. It is allowed to dissolve 1 tablet 2-3 times per day, the dosage can be increased if necessary, but not more than 600 mg per day. Usually the effect occurs immediately, but if this does not happen after 10-15 minutes, then you need to take another heart medicine.

Capsules

Capsules are taken in the same way as tablets. They need to be kept under the tongue until completely absorbed. The frequency of administration and the number of capsules per day depends on the amount of active ingredient in one capsule.

Reception regimens:

  1. Capsules with a dosage of 50 mg. take 1-2 pieces 3-4 times a day.
  2. Capsules with a dosage of 100 mg. take 1-2 pieces twice a day.

The dosage can be increased to 600 mg per day, but this amount of the drug should not be abused. Therefore, if there is a need to use the maximum dosage of Validol too often, you need to visit a doctor so that he can select another medicine.

Drops

Drops are used less frequently, since capsules and tablets are more convenient to use. Drops can be dissolved in water and taken orally, but it is more effective if a little medicine is dropped onto a piece of refined sugar and dissolved.

Drops can be used 2 to 4 times a day, dropping 3-6 drops onto a piece of sugar. It is recommended to use 9-24 drops per day, but no more. The dosage can be increased only in extreme cases, being sure to monitor so that overdose symptoms do not occur.

With glucose

In addition to menthol, Validol may contain glucose, 188 mg in each tablet. This composition promotes faster dissolution of tablets, improved metabolism and increased energy exchange.

Validol with glucose
Indications for taking Validol with glucose do not differ from indications for other forms of the drug, so the treatment regimens are no different: you need to dissolve 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

The manufacturer does not limit the duration of treatment - the course of treatment is prescribed only by the attending doctor.

And patients should remember that the drug does not cure, but effectively relieves negative symptoms, providing the following actions:

  • pain reliever;
  • sedative;
  • reflex.

Sugar free for diabetics

This form of the drug is intended for heart patients suffering from diabetes. The drug contains levomenthol in isovaleric acid menthyl ester and excipients: stabilizer E 421, E 952, povidone 25, magnesium stearate and silicon dioxide.

You can dissolve 1 tablet 2-3 times a day per day, as well as forms with sugar or glucose. But Validol without sugar should not be taken by diabetics in increased dosages or for more than 7 days.

Patients without diabetes are allowed to take up to 600 mg of this form of the drug per day, but only if the recommended dose does not produce the desired effect.

Cough inhalations

Validol, due to its beneficial properties, can be used to treat any type of cough. But it helps best with a sore throat, obstruction and dry cough.

There are several recipes for preparing the solution:

  1. Dissolve one tablet of the drug, a teaspoon of soda and 7 drops of iodine in a glass of boiling water.
  2. Dissolve a Validol tablet, 15 g of eucalyptus leaves, 2 crushed cloves of garlic and 25-30 g of dry pine extract in a liter of hot water.
  3. In a liter of water, stir 1 tablet of Validol and 3-5 drops of essential oil of fir, eucalyptus or pine.

Inhalations with Validol are carried out using a kettle, and the vapors are inhaled through a spout. Do not use a nebulizer as the solution particles are not suitable for this application.

Inhalations are carried out 1-2 times a day for 10 minutes for 3 days. Already after the first day of treatment, a significant improvement in the condition is observed, breathing normalizes and the cough and sore throat disappear.

Use as a sedative

Validol has a mild sedative effect, so it is often used to treat neurasthenic disorders, insomnia, pain caused by stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder and others. It can also be used as a sedative for menopause and premenstrual syndrome if a woman experiences severe symptoms.

Depending on the condition, a one-time or long-term medication may be taken:

  • For prolonged insomnia, neurosis, stress, the course of treatment is prescribed by the attending physician. Usually prescribed to take 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

  • To normalize sleep - 1 tablet immediately before bedtime.
  • PMS, menopausal disorders - 1-2 tablets per day until symptoms disappear.
  • For panic attacks - 1 tablet during an attack, and 1 more during the day to support the functioning of the nervous and cardiac systems.

Validol should not be taken for too long, as it is still a treatment for heart problems. Uncontrolled use will not give the desired result, and may even harm the patient’s health.

For toothache and headache

Levomenthol has an anesthetic effect, so Validol is able to relieve mild pain if there are no special painkillers at hand. But not for every pain it can be used.

Validol does not save you from ordinary headaches, but it can help from migraines or pain caused by neurocirculatory dystonia or other neurotic disorders. The drug is able to calm the nervous system, relieve irritability, thereby eliminating associated symptoms, including headaches.

To relieve an unpleasant symptom, you need to dissolve one tablet under the tongue. Usually the severity of the pain begins to subside after a few minutes, but if this does not go away, then you can take another tablet.

As an emergency, Validol can be used to relieve toothache. One tablet needs to be crushed and mixed with water to form a thick paste. Apply this mixture to the gum on the side of the diseased tooth. You can use a solution that is moistened with cotton wool and also applied to the gum. This measure can only be used to relieve pain before visiting the dentist; constant use is unacceptable, otherwise the tablets will stop helping and the tooth will suffer even more.

For VSD and panic attacks

Since vegetative-vascular dystonia is often accompanied by unpleasant symptoms from the cardiovascular system, such as heart rhythm disturbances, chest pain, overexcitation, insomnia, Validol can be used to treat this syndrome.

Neurologists prescribe Validol simultaneously with other drugs to prevent the development of such symptoms. Initially, a short-term course is prescribed: 1 tablet three times a day for 1-2 weeks.

VSD structure

If the patient does not feel better, it means that the drug is not suitable and another treatment must be selected. With high efficiency and good tolerability, the course of treatment is extended for a period determined by the attending physician

Regular use of Validol for VSD helps prevent the development of a panic attack. It is also able to eliminate an attack if it has already begun - the patient needs to take 1 tablet and wait until he feels better. After an attack, you need to take another pill to completely calm the nervous system.

For nausea

Validol is an effective remedy for nausea, as it suppresses reflexes transmitted from the brain to the digestive organs. Menthol dilates blood vessels, calms the nervous system, relieves spasms and has a choleretic effect.

The pleasant taste of Validol eliminates the unpleasant taste in the mouth, refreshes, thereby relieving the symptoms of nausea and preventing vomiting. Therefore, the drug can also be used for motion sickness - seasickness.

It is enough to dissolve one tablet for the symptoms of nausea to disappear. Relief occurs within 5-10 minutes, but if it does not get better, then you need to use another drug. Half or a quarter of a tablet can be given to a school-age child if he or she begins to get motion sickness during a long trip and there are no other remedies at hand.

Does Valerian help with VSD? Review of personal reception experience

I’ll say right away that I drank Valerian for neurosis after the crisis was over. That is, by this time I already understood and realized what was happening to me and how to solve the problem. I still had increased anxiety, I was plagued by panic attacks, although less often, I had problems sleeping, but I was already sure that I was not dying and that this condition was reversible.

By this time, I had already completed the course of nootropics prescribed by the doctor, abandoned the tranquilizer and all other medications. I decided to drink valerian myself, without a doctor’s prescription. But I don’t encourage anyone to repeat my experience.

I took the medicine morning and evening, 30 drops diluted in a small amount of water. The approximate period of use is 1 month.

Does Valerian help with panic attacks?

A certain herbal preparation helps reduce feelings of excitement and anxiety. When I took my morning dose, I felt calmer and could go to work without unnecessary anxiety.

It happened that I drank a dose and began to feel an approaching attack of PA. In most cases, this helped stop the attack or endure it in a mild form. But I repeat that I already knew about the nature of neurosis and always during an attack I tried not to turn on the mental “mental stirrer”, but distracted myself.

The dose taken before bed also produced results. Gradually my sleep improved, I fell asleep quickly and slept soundly. But along with taking Valerian, I practiced meditation and some self-hypnosis techniques. All this helped me recover quickly and without taking serious medications.

To the question whether Valerian helps with VSD, I will answer that yes, it helps. But only as an aid. And only if the disorder of the autonomic nervous system is caused exclusively by psychological factors and not by organic diseases.

I still believe that the main treatment for VSD is psychotherapy. Everything else is optional. Although I absolutely do not deny that panic attacks and vegetative crises can be a consequence of physiological pathologies in the body and certain diseases. But even in such cases, psychotherapy helps to discover the metaphysical causes of the disease, which significantly contributes to recovery.

Treatment of panic attacks after alcohol

Every person has experienced a feeling of anxiety and restlessness at least once in their life.
And this is quite natural, you say, but what should those who have all this developed into a panic attack do? This is a more serious problem than ordinary anxiety or fear. Everyone needs to know the treatment of panic attacks; perhaps a stranger will need your help. A panic attack, the symptoms and treatment of which have long been known, has simply taken over modern society. Almost 20% of the entire population of the planet has at least once in their lives experienced these feelings of fear and anxiety, which crowd out everything reasonable from your life. Thus, every fifth person on Earth has experienced a panic attack, which shows how unstable our psyche is.

Important! About 1% of people live in a constant state of panic attack.

This figure varies in different countries; Americans are most susceptible to this disease; for them this figure is 2.7% of the population of the entire country. In our country, this percentage is low, and most often it includes people who abuse alcohol or drugs. Often they feel very ashamed after drinking for their behavior, but this does not always become an argument to quit the addiction. 70% of all cases of panic attacks end in severe depression and suicidal impulses.

Important! Most often, people aged 25 to 36 years are affected by this disease, but both teenagers and older people can fall under it.

It is impossible to predict when treatment for a panic attack will be needed, because suddenness is its characteristic feature. Often it can begin in the middle of the night when a person was just sleeping. Sudden anxiety automatically provokes the release of hormones into the blood, compressing the blood vessels of the body.

Important! The danger is that shortness of breath and high blood pressure provoke a delay in consciousness, which leads to a person’s disorientation in space and understanding of where he is and what is happening.

Lack of oxygen leads to an imbalance of acidity in the blood, which leads to dizziness and numbness of the limbs. This again leads to fear, which again provokes the release of hormones. It is this closed circuit that is the mechanism for the development of the disease and can often lead to suffocation and death.

Doctors divide the symptoms of this disease into 3 main types:

  • cardiopalmus;
  • squeezing sensation in the chest;
  • sweating profusely;
  • abdominal pain;
  • dyspnea;
  • muscle spasms;
  • blurred vision;
  • dizziness;
  • tingling in the limbs.
  • sleep disturbance;
  • anxiety and restlessness;
  • conscious avoidance of any conflict or controversial situations.

The reasons leading to all of the above can be very diverse. But most often they are perceived not as a panic attack, but as completely different diseases, not only neuralgic, but also completely different.

Treatment for panic attacks should be started immediately if a person exhibits at least some of the following symptoms:

  • the person does not understand who he is and what is happening;
  • his gaze is not concentrated and does not linger even for a minute on any object;
  • the person has chills or fever with profuse sweating;
  • sound hallucinations;
  • loss of consciousness;
  • insomnia;
  • tremor of the limbs;
  • lack of swallowing reflex.

Due to the fact that this problem relates to psychological pathology, its first sign is uncontrollable, severe fear. Therefore, the most common causes of a panic attack are psychological pathologies:

  • irrational fears, phobias, manias;
  • prolonged depression;
  • schizophrenia;
  • post-traumatic syndrome.

If there are serious physical illnesses with painful symptoms, then they can create a connection with the attack. But more often than not, the physical state begins to prevail over the psychosomatic one, and pushes all fears into the background. However, even somatic diseases can cause this condition: cardiac dysfunction, diseases of the endocrine system, duodenitis, hormonal changes in the body: the onset of puberty, sexual activity, pregnancy, menopause.

The causes must be identified and the general condition diagnosed; without this, it is impossible to answer the question of how to cure panic attacks.

The reasons that led to this condition can be very diverse, but to get rid of it yourself, you don’t have to take special medications, try the following methods that have proven themselves at the highest level.

If feelings of anxiety and fear manifest themselves in the morning, then it is best to resort to meditation, which is actively promoted by many religions. And for good reason, because every rule calls you to calm and relax. And this is exactly what is needed during a panic attack.

By completely dissolving in meditation, you will not be able to aggravate the situation with the above condition. On the contrary, this will allow you to take control of your consciousness and stop being afraid of attacks. Their fear will go away and take all fears with it, but only if you do this regularly.

The bonus of such activities is harmony with yourself and the world around you. Breathe!

Breathing is not only life, but also an excellent means of combating any fears. More than one method of proper breathing has been developed, which helps to quickly avoid an attack of suffocation, which is often associated with a panic attack. With it, the disturbance in heart rhythm goes away and its work normalizes, displacing other unpleasant symptoms.

Important! There is an opinion that the contrast of such a transition in breathing can only aggravate the attack, so it would not be amiss to study other breathing techniques, and not just through a bag. Your doctor should recommend them to you.

Constant moderate sports activity not only creates a beautiful figure and improves your health, but also helps improve your mood, which means you won’t be afraid of a panic attack. This will only work if the exercise is regular and systematic.

If you decide to go in for sports, then you automatically need to give up all bad habits. And so that you don’t feel ashamed of yourself after drinking, it’s better not to drink at all and don’t give a panic attack a chance. But if you can’t immediately move on to such physical activity, start with meditation, gradually moving on to warm-up, and then to sports.

How to treat anxiety? Strengthen it! This technique is not suitable for everyone, but its effectiveness is beyond praise. To enhance your sensations, you need to show considerable courage and endurance, which are impossible without long-term self-preparation. So, the attack has begun, your actions to remove it:

  • do not make any attempt to stop or reduce the attack;
  • try to fully concentrate on it, without being distracted by anything else;
  • provoke an increase in your fears, which will manifest itself in malaise and physical discomfort;
  • Once you feel the dominance of your conscious actions over your irrational fears, they will recede.

The manifestation of a panic attack scares not only the victim, but also his loved ones. And here, the main thing is for them not to get confused. Perhaps it is your help that will help relieve this condition from your loved one. Your participation will not always be needed in such a situation, but if such a need arises, you should know how to remove it.

When such a problem manifests itself in your family, the main thing is not to leave the victim alone with his emotions. Your participation should be calm, sympathetic, and confident. This is the only way you can convey to him some of your positive emotions, removing the negativity. Screaming and your nervousness will only make the situation worse.

Any fear in your heart will go away if your loved one hugs you. Even a simple hug will help relieve muscle spasms. Stroke the person, gently rub his limbs, while speaking calmly and confidently. The person will begin to relax and the attack will begin to fade.

Muscles cramped by spasms must be straightened, because they cause discomfort. It is not necessary to do a professional massage; your participation may manifest itself in rubbing your arms and legs, stroking your ears, shoulders and head, and rubbing your neck.

If possible, provide the victim with a contrast wash or shower. Alternating warm and cold water allows you to get the desired reaction from the endocrine system, which will extinguish anxiety and panic. It is advisable to immerse the person completely in water or pour over his entire body, but even washing will help relieve some of the problem.

This technique is often used by parents of young children who are naughty or behave inappropriately. If you distract a person from his problem, then it will become unimportant and all the unpleasant sensations will go away along with it. In addition to vocal influence, you can stroke the person, lightly pat him on the shoulder or cheeks. You may need to pinch him painfully, depending on the situation.

The attack will not go away even if you eat a bunch of pills, but both natural medicines and synthetic medicines can significantly alleviate it.

To stop an attack, you need to mix all the tinctures, 10 drops each, and eleutherococcus - 20 drops in a glass of warm water and drink slowly.

The following infusion has an excellent sedative effect; you need to drink it twice a day. To make it, mix 100 grams of tea rose fruits and chamomile flowers with 50 grams of lemon balm, the same amount of yarrow, angelica root, and St. John's wort. Add 20 grams of hops, peppermint and valerian. Brew this using a thermos in 3 liters of boiling water.

Valerian is not suitable for everyone suffering from VSD

I think that you are unlikely to be able to feel the effect of valerian during VSD and panic attacks if your head is in complete chaos, you cannot control your thoughts at all and do not know the basics of how the psyche works. No, I don’t want to say that you are stupid and will not get out of your neurosis. Don't take my expression negatively. I want you to understand that by changing your consciousness, you will change your physiological state.

It is not necessary to hire an expensive psychotherapist. Read great books on how to heal yourself. Start getting organized in your head, because that's where the problem lies.

In my life, I have already experienced the experience of self-healing of organic diseases twice. In the first case, I used only NLP techniques and got rid of a 7-year pathology in 10 days. In the second case, the illness was serious and I took medication, combining it with somopsychotherapy and NLP. My doctor was amazed that I recovered so quickly. As a result, we successfully cured the disease.

In the latter case, Joseph Murphy’s book helped me a lot; it was from there that I took scientific prayers for healing that work 100%. Of course, provided that you believe in such techniques. Because it is faith that is the driving force on the path to any goals and desires.

Even if you believe without a shadow of a doubt that Valerian will cure you of VSD, it will be so.

Treatment methods

The earlier treatment for this disorder is started, the easier it is to achieve a positive result. The main ways to get rid of the disease:

  1. Drug therapy.
  2. Psychotherapy.
  3. A person’s independent work to change their lifestyle and attitude towards life circumstances.

Medicines for panic attacks are good primarily because they act quickly. A panic attack can be relieved in just minutes. Many of them are of plant origin and are affordable for anyone. An important factor is ease of use. Is it possible to compare quickly taking a pill with long-term work to find out the root causes of panic attacks, resolve your internal conflicts, master special exercises, breathing and meditative practices? But the time factor in this case does not always play on the patient’s side. The side effects and contraindications of many medications have not been canceled. Therefore, if the disease is in its early stages, you can do without taking medications.

Psychotherapeutic treatment can occur either in combination with drug therapy or independently, depending on the severity of the disorder. With the help of a psychotherapist, the patient searches for and explores the causes of anxiety and panic, and uses various techniques to combat the symptoms. Cognitive behavioral psychotherapy teaches a person to develop patterns of behavior in anxious and stressful situations. Nowadays, you can even learn more about the possibilities of psychotherapy in treating this illness online. In particular, Nikita Valeryevich Baturin, a psychologist with many years of experience, has accumulated extensive experience in overcoming such conditions.
