Therapeutic effect of oil on cardiovascular structure and arterial parameters

flax seed oil
So, what effect does the oily liquid have on the heart and blood vessels? In the presence of heart and vascular problems, flaxseed substance helps:

  1. Cleansing blood vessels from cholesterol plaques.
  2. Blood thinning.
  3. Stabilization of heart rate.
  4. Increasing the elasticity of vascular walls.
  5. Improving blood flow speed.
  6. Getting rid of atherosclerotic blood clots.
  7. Normalization of arterial levels in hypertension.

As medical practice shows, flaxseed oil lowers blood pressure. A particularly stable therapeutic effect is observed in the initial stages of hypertension, but good results are also achieved in advanced stages of the disease.

To eliminate the active manifestation of the disease, a hypertensive patient must not only comply with drug therapy, but also strictly adhere to the remaining prescriptions of complex antihypertensive treatment. In particular, when consuming flaxseed liquid in order to achieve its best therapeutic effect, it is necessary:

  • Follow a diet.
  • Eliminate harmful foods.
  • Avoid eating in the evening and at night.
  • Avoid fatty and high-calorie foods.

The reason for these prescriptions is explained by the fact that the oil does not have time to remove cholesterol, and a new portion of it is already entering the body. Cholesterol substance begins to be deposited on the mucous membrane of blood vessels, thereby slowing down the healing process.

This is due to the fact that to achieve a therapeutic result, approximately 30 capsules of fish oil are required per day, and only 1 tablespoon of flax oil. At the same time, the oily substance helps lower systolic blood pressure by 9 units.

Recent studies have found that every percent increase in the amount of alpha-linolenic acid reduces upper and lower blood pressure by as much as 5 units.

In addition to taking it on its own, the oil can be added to vegetable and fruit salads, cereals and other dishes, mixed with other types of oil, mayonnaise, fermented milk products such as yogurt, kefir, cottage cheese, as well as honey and syrups.

Regarding the duration of the course, due to its neutral effect, the oil can be used for a long time, so the treatment course is not limited to a strict time frame. However, to avoid unpleasant consequences, you should check with your doctor about how long to take the drug.

Flaxseed oil for hypertension: how to take, contraindications

Last modified: December 25th, 2020 at 02:03 am

The healing properties of flax oil have been known since the time of Hippocrates. In Rus', before the popularization of sunflower oil, it was widely consumed as food. An undeservedly forgotten product returns in a new quality.

Due to the high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids necessary for life, it is increasingly used in medicine, cosmetology, and cooking.

Flaxseed oil for hypertension is indicated for internal and external use.

Rich composition

The raw material for obtaining the product is flax seeds. The color is determined by the degree of purification and varies from brown to yellow or golden. There is no specific smell. Special cold-press technology preserves useful elements, the composition is rich in:

  • vitamins of group B (B1, B2, B3, B4, B6, B9), A, E and K;
  • minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium, as well as zinc, iron and phosphorus;
  • polyunsaturated fatty acids, represented by alpha-linolenic and linoleic acids, the most valuable is that their content reaches 75%.

Alpha-linolenic acid helps lower blood pressure levels. A deficiency of amino acids in the diet leads to clogging of blood vessels with atherosclerotic plaques and the development of heart and vascular diseases.

Few foods included in the daily diet contain even small amounts of essential amino acids.

The source of Omega-3 is considered to be expensive varieties of red sea fish that are not available to the mass consumer.

A couple of tablespoons of flaxseed oil can compensate for the lack of Omega-3!

Beneficial properties of flax oil for hypertension

  1. 1. Activates the removal of bad cholesterol. Statin medications prescribed by a doctor for these purposes have the side effect of reducing the content of beneficial Coenzyme Q10, which supports cellular energy potential. Unlike statins, flax oil does not have this ability, and it can be used for a long time.
In the initial stages of hypertension, it is an excellent assistant to medications prescribed by the attending physician to normalize blood pressure. But if treatment is started only when the processes of blood circulation and cholesterol metabolism in the body are seriously impaired, taking the oil will not help.

In this case, you cannot do without statins, and the issue of combining medications with herbal remedies is discussed with your doctor.

  2. 2. Lowers blood sugar levels. Often, against the background of diabetes mellitus, problems with high blood pressure arise, clogging and even blockage of blood vessels with atherosclerotic plaques occurs.
  3. 3.
Thins the blood. Atherosclerosis is accompanied by thrombosis. Increased blood clotting predisposes to the formation of blood clots.
  4. 4. Increases the elasticity of blood vessels. Fragile and brittle vessels are not able to cope with high pressure.
  5. 5. Improves immunity and prevents inflammation of the walls of blood vessels.
It has been established that vascular permeability and inflammatory processes in them contribute to the development of hypertension.

Important information: Reduce alcohol consumption

Features of internal use

Vital Omega-3 acids are synthesized by the body from alpha-linolenic acid contained in flax oil. Biochemical transformations occur over time; no immediate effect is observed after administration. From the start of regular use, it will take half a month before the patient notices the result of its positive effects.

Flaxseed oil helps against pressure by cleansing the walls of blood vessels from cholesterol, improving their elasticity, and reducing blood viscosity. A positive result is guaranteed by compliance with dosages, regularity and regimen.

  • Preventative treatment. In the morning, on an empty stomach, drink one tablespoon half an hour before meals. Several 10-day courses with a two-week break between them are desirable.
  • Treatment course. Daily dose – 2 tablespoons, take for three months or more.
  • Weightloss remedy. Problems of excess weight due to hypertension are solved according to the following scheme: a teaspoon of oil a quarter of an hour before breakfast and the same period of time after dinner. Gradually increase intake to a tablespoon and continue drinking for three months.
  • Treatment of the initial stage of hypertension. Take 2 teaspoons orally before lunch and at night, the course of treatment is up to three months, plus a special massage.

How to do a massage correctly

Flax seed oil is effective in reducing blood pressure not only when taken orally. A special massage with a small amount of flax oil is an external method of combating hypertension. Typically, this procedure takes about half an hour and is carried out in courses of ten massages every other day or once a week, but constantly.

Apply slightly warm oil to your palms and first massage your head from the crown in a circular motion to the neck. Then, starting from the fingertips, smoothly move from the periphery to the torso, massaging the stomach with crosswise movements, and the lower back with circular movements clockwise.

After completing the massage, you need to wrap yourself in a sheet. It will take about ten minutes for the oil to be absorbed into the skin. After this, it’s a good idea to go to the sauna or soak in the bath.

According to patient reviews, the procedure not only normalizes blood pressure, but also provides a “bonus”: hair stops falling out, and skin condition noticeably improves.

Use in cooking

It doesn’t matter if you don’t like the oil so much that you can’t take it internally. There is a wonderful opportunity to add it to food, daily seasoning ready-made side dishes and vegetable salads. A slight bitter taste will add piquancy to our usual food. Kefir, honey, rye bread help better absorption and enhance the effect of the beneficial components of the product.

Interesting fact. One of the components of the oil (thioproline) has the ability to bind and remove carcinogenic nitrosamines, freeing us from the toxic effects of nitrates that enter the body with vegetables.

Important! Flaxseed oil quickly oxidizes in light and completely loses its value when heated.

Any type of heat treatment will hopelessly ruin its quality and turn it from a useful product into one harmful to health.
