Active points for lowering blood pressure. Acupressure technique and its effectiveness

Points to Reduce Blood Pressure

This is the point of the stomach canal.
It has the property of “easing the throat, eliminating congestion in energy channels.” These are symmetrical points on the neck, one and a half cun to the sides of the thyroid cartilage (Adam's apple), where the pulse is heard in the neck. By acting on the point, you can quickly lower blood pressure.

Method of influence:

  • connect the index and middle fingers,
  • place your fingertips on the points on both sides of your neck, you can cross your arms,
  • Place the fingers of the right hand on the point on the left side, the fingers of the left hand on the right side.
  • Lightly and gently press the point on one side, but under no circumstances press too hard.
  • First, press a point on one side of the neck for 15 seconds, then on the other side for 15 seconds.

And so, alternately stimulate the points for 5 minutes. You can simply gently stroke your neck in the area where the points are located.

  • The Ren Ying emergency point allows you to quickly reduce blood pressure by 10-20 millimeters of mercury. But the effect will not last long, and this point treats the symptom, not the root of the disease.

How to lower blood pressure with acupressure?

This type of massage can quickly reduce blood pressure. Such procedures must be carried out regularly. The patient needs to relax and calm down. A prerequisite for the effectiveness of massage is the normalization of breathing through the nose.

A particularly good effect is achieved when using acupressure techniques for grades 1 and 2 heart failure, but in case of coronary heart disease, this method cannot be used during an acute attack. Points for lowering blood pressure at the beginning and at the end of the procedure should be massaged with gentle movements. The peak of force applied to them should occur in the middle of the session.

The massage therapist should massage the pressure points with the tips of his index fingers. It is impossible to carry out the procedure correctly at home, since it is difficult to find the necessary points on your own. The specialist may begin the procedure with areas at the edges of the knee joints.

The following points are located approximately 4 fingers below the kneecap. These areas should be worked for at least 5 minutes. Then the massage therapist’s hands move to the area between the metatarsal bones. The points located here are massaged for 5-7 minutes. The area between the 2nd and 3rd metatarsal bones is well worked out. After this, the specialist moves 4 fingers above the inner parts of the ankle.

After this, the area located at the junction of the neck muscles with the occipital protuberance is worked out. This area is massaged for 5-7 minutes. Then they move to the midline of the head. Acupressure of this area with high blood pressure is performed for 3 minutes. Lastly, the area located behind the ear and bordering the angle of the lower jaw is worked on. This will reduce the pressure.

Dots on Ears

By acting on these points daily, you can control your blood pressure.

  • Er Jian point. Located at the highest point of the upper helix of the auricle.

Located at the highest point of the upper helix of the auricle. This is an extra-channel magic point, that is, it does not belong to any of the energy channels. Its property is

  • “dissipate heat and eliminate inflammation,
  • refresh the brain and clear vision,
  • alleviate pain and lower blood pressure.”

In order to lower the body temperature at this point, in the old days they did bloodletting - a puncture, a few drops of blood were squeezed out, this made it possible to lower the temperature without medication, if the fever was not very strong, not higher than 38.5 degrees.

At higher temperatures, the point was used in combination with other methods.

The Er Jian point is effective in removing heat from the head area that may be present.

  • redness of the face,
  • dizziness and darkening of the eyes,
  • ringing in the ears,
  • anxiety and restless sleep, filled with dreams.

If the pressure is increased, no matter due to excess or deficiency, you can influence this point by pressing it, squeezing it on both sides of the auricle. You can puncture the point and release 2-3 drops of blood, it is safe and effective.

  • Er Bei Gou is not a point, but a groove on the back of the ear. It is also called a pressure-reducing groove.

If you press your fingers on the back side of the auricle from the place where the temple of the glasses usually lies down and out towards the lobe, you can feel the groove between the cartilage and the helix of the ear, this is the groove for reducing pressure - Er Bei Gou.

Reflexively, this part of the ear is connected to the spine; by massaging it, we stimulate the nerve endings of the spine, which harmonizes the activity of the internal organs.

If you massage the philtrum regularly, you can normalize your blood pressure.

  • pinch your ear with your thumb and index finger, right ear with your right hand, left ear with your left hand,
  • At the same time, press the grooves on the back of the ear with your thumbs, at least 15 times, until the ears are slightly warmed up, do not press very hard.
  • Repeat 2-3 times a day. The effect will not come immediately, only after some time of regular massage.

The Yun Quan point is a safe way to regulate blood pressure at any age.

In older people, high blood pressure is most often associated with kidney weakness.

According to Chinese medicine, with a lack of kidney Yin, there is an excess of Yang in the upper part of the body, so old people often suffer from weakness and coldness in the legs, aches in the lower back, but there is an excess of Yang in the upper body, which is manifested by dizziness, insomnia, restless sleep and hypertension.

The kidneys belong to the element Water, the Yong Quan point is the starting point of the kidney channel, from here the flow of energy through the channel begins.

The fire from the heart channel descends and nourishes the Yang of the kidneys, thus the interaction of Yin and Yang occurs.

When there is not enough Water below, there is no way to control the Fire above, which leads to an excess of Fire and an increase in pressure. Impact on Yun Quan.

  • stimulates the kidneys
  • helps control Water,
  • restrain Fire, and thereby fight hypertension.

The methods of influence can be different:

Open your palm, with the center of the palm where the Lao Gong point is located, rub the center of the foot until the feet warm up.

Press the point with the pad or bone of the thumb in a circular rotational motion.

In this way, you can balance Yin and Yang and normalize blood pressure.

Points on the body

During severe hypertension, before emergency assistance arrives, a person’s well-being can be significantly improved by influencing certain areas of the body. This massage must be performed with the index finger. At first, the intensity of the massage should be weak, then you can increase the impact. Below are the points by which you can help a patient with a hypertensive crisis:

points for lowering blood pressure on the arm

  1. On the back of the head, in the area where the hair grows. Measure 2 centimeters from this line; when pressed, slight pain is felt in this area. This area should be massaged using rotational movements and pressure for 5 minutes.
  2. In the center of the foot, 11 centimeters from the heel, there is another active point. Massaging this area is performed on both feet simultaneously for 3-4 minutes. Where else are the points on the body located to reduce pressure?
  3. In the upper part of the shoulder there is a zone that is responsible for blood pressure parameters. Pressing this point is required on both shoulders simultaneously for several minutes.
  4. It is also recommended to massage the inner wrist area (in the area where the tendon diverges). Circular movements are performed on both hands at once for 10 minutes.

Dr. Zheng Fuzhong, Author of the Wonderful Series of Books “The Best Doctor is You” Believes,

  • that for hypertension it is useful to massage the Chi Ze point of the lung channel daily.

This is what Zheng Fuzhong writes in the book “The Best Doctor is You 3” (pp. 127-129):

“There is a point on the lung channel that is very useful for those suffering from hypertension - the Chi Ze point. It is located above the tendon in the center of the inner bend of the elbow. This point has several important properties.

  • Firstly, it helps lower blood pressure, and quite effectively.

In hypertensive patients, this point is always very painful when pressed. Painful sensations indicate that you have found the location of the point correctly. Try massaging the point daily.

One day, a 73-year-old friend visited me; she came to Beijing specifically to thank me: “This point that you talked about actually helped me a lot. I have been massaging it every day for almost three months now. I have had hypertension for a long time. Previously, the pressure was 160-170, but now it is 130-140. If I also take a blood pressure pill, it drops to 95.” I asked if she massaged any other points. She replied that she didn’t know any other points, but found this one easily because it was very painful.

  • The second important property of Chi Ze is that it helps replenish the kidneys.

How does acupressure work?

The method of influencing an acupuncture point is based on a scientific concept interconnected with the anatomy and physiology of the human body.

These data made massage effective for hypertension.

When a patient experiences pain in the back of the head and temples, an increased heart rate, insomnia and dizziness, you can get rid of this by acting on acupuncture points.

Acupressure at high pressure does not make you wait long for effective results. It is able to reduce blood pressure to normal levels. In addition, it relieves headaches and improves a person’s psycho-emotional state.

Chinese doctor's technique

To reduce blood pressure readings, the Chinese do not use pharmaceutical drugs, but breathing techniques, meditation, and acupuncture. Massaging certain points gives good results.

The famous doctor Liu Hongsheng from China worked in Moscow for a long time. He shared his knowledge with Russian doctors on how to quickly reduce even critical systole and diastole levels without pills.

The Chinese doctor recommends acting on two points:

  • point number 1 . It is located under the earlobe. From this point you should mentally draw a straight line to the collarbone bone. To normalize high blood pressure, you need to move your fingertips from the earlobe down. Don't have a strong impact. Touches should be light. It is necessary to perform ten strokes alternately on each side. If you simultaneously massage the lines located on the right and left, the effect will be greater. For hypertensive patients, massage must be performed from top to bottom. To increase pressure, stroking is done from bottom to top. In addition to normalizing the tonometer numbers, this effect on the points improves mood, relieves headaches and improves the functioning of all organs and systems;
  • point number 2 . It is located one and a half centimeters from the end of the earlobe towards the nose. This area should be massaged for a minute. The degree of pressure should be strong, but not cause pain.

Liu Hongsheng's technique is effective. This is confirmed by reviews of people prone to frequent increases in blood pressure.

Also, to normalize and stabilize the tonometer numbers, the Chinese doctor gives the following advice:

  • monitor your health. All diseases, especially the heart, kidneys, and blood vessels, must be treated in a timely manner;
  • prevent the occurrence of pathologies. To do this, you should do exercises in the morning, eat right and have a positive attitude towards all life situations.

Principles of the technique

Before you start massaging points to reduce pressure, you need to measure it. In case of very high blood pressure, the procedure is performed for at least 15 minutes. When a patient has high blood pressure, any careless touch to it can cause pain. With high blood pressure, the patient becomes highly sensitive to external stimuli.

Massage for hypertension is aimed at relaxing the muscles and correctly influencing the right points. To make the patient relax, they turn on music and lamps with essential oils.

Before starting the procedure, you need to warm up your hands. Acupuncture points are massaged lightly and briefly. If everything is done correctly, then after the massage the patient feels warmth and a pleasant ache, which lasts up to half an hour.

Alexey Mamatov's method

Alexey Mamatov suggests that hypertensive patients use a special health complex. It consists of a series of exercises during which you need to influence biologically active points of the body. Alexey Mamatov’s method is recommended for hypertension caused by menopause, cervicothoracic osteochondrosis and other pathologies.

The method allows you to reduce even very high tonometer numbers, stabilize the functioning of the cardiovascular system, and improve your overall health. Alexey Mamatov offers many different points for eliminating hypertension. It is enough to select 4-5 places, pressing on which causes pain. In this case, the practice will be most effective.

  • Lao-kung . Located in the center of the palm. If you clench your hand into a fist, you can find it between the ring and middle fingers;
  • Yongquan . To find it, you need to squeeze your toes. You can feel the Yongquan in the formed dimple of the foot. Massaging this area regulates energy metabolism in the body;
  • Nei-guan . It is recommended to act on it when hypertension is caused by nervous and vascular disorders. Nei-guan is located 1.5-2 cun above the wrist fold (between the tendons). One cun is equal to the width of the phalanx of the thumbnail of the left hand for women and the right one for men (for right-handers);
  • Yes-lin . Located between the folds of the wrist joint;
  • Xing-jian. Located between the bases of the first and second toes. When you press this point, not only does the pressure decrease, but also irritability, heart pain, swelling, and insomnia go away;
  • Tzu-san-li . In China, this place is called the longevity point. It is located three cuns below the outer edge of the knee cup, in a recess. To make it easier to find it, you need to place your palm on your knee, pressing your fingers to your shin. The ring finger will point to Tzu-san-li. When exposed to this point, metabolism improves, insulin production normalizes, blood pressure decreases and stabilizes;
  • Hae-gu . It is located on the back of the hand, between the second metacarpal bone and the thumb. The effect on He-gu removes toothaches, headaches, swelling, helps with sore throat and intestinal disorders;
  • Xia-si . Located between the fourth and fifth toes. Impact on this point helps relieve pain in the back of the head, temples and eyes, dizziness, insomnia, tinnitus;
  • Bai-hui . Located at the center of the intersection of two lines running from the tops of the ear to the top of the head. Pressing the point relieves fatigue, congestion, tension, and reduces blood pressure;
  • Shen-men . Located at the top of the ear triangle. Massaging this area relieves heat, inflammation, pain, and lowers the tonometer numbers;
  • San-yin-jiao . Located three cuns below the inside of the ankle. Exposure to it normalizes blood pressure, eliminates swelling, improves sexual function, and rejuvenates the body.
